The course “2016 Timor-Leste Flagship Course of Health System Strengthening and Financing” was held from 29 November to 3 December at the Hotel Novo Turismo. This initiative was organized by the World Bank, University of Melbourne and ANHSS and aims to contribute to the consolidation of a common understanding on health systems and policies, with a focus on funding issues, including a general presentation on Public Finance Management. This high-level event featured the screening of a video by Professor Thomas J. Bossert of the T.H. School of Public Health. Chan of Harvard University, and with the presence and active participation of the highest officials of the Ministry (General Directors, Director of Finance, Planning, Cooperation, Hospital Directors and Directors of Municipal Services, among others).
